The Masgutova Method of Neuro-sensory-motor Reflex Integration - MNRI is based on unique training directed toward the restoration of neurodevelopment and the integration of primary movements, reflexes, coordination systems, and skills for the optimal functioning, development, and learning. The Masgutova Method is oriented on the stimulation of reflex patterns in order to awaken natural, genetic motor resources, self-regenerating strength of motor memory and sensory-motor coherence. This achievement innately carries the implication of the fulfillment of all potentials within movement abilities and learning skills.

The Mission of the Masgutova Neuro-sensory-motor Reflex Integration – MNRIMethod is to give children and adults reliable knowledge and safe tools for the use of natural, genetic motor resources to facilitate successful neuro-sensory-motor development and joyful learning.

Neuro-sensory-motor Reflex Integration is oriented in:

  • The use of new knowledge in the field of neuro-sensory-motor integration for the analysis and organization of movement system development (levels, stages, mechanism, processes, strategies and structure)

  • The creation of programs of integration of primary movement systems with higher controlled movement patterns.

  • Integration of early primary movement systems (reflexes, rhythmic movements, natural coordination systems and skills)

  • Integration of Dynamic and Postural Infant Reflexes
  • Integration of Lifelong Reflexes and Reactions in Movement Development
  • Motor-sensory and sensory-motor integration enhancement

The creation of programs on MNRI™ and movement development programs for children and adults with challenges of:

Our program uses the idea of the importance of primary movements on the whole child's motor system development, and the corresponding implications on the development of intentional movements and motor skills which become the neuro-physiological basis for manual skills (eating, self-service, drawing, writing), as well as visual and auditory processing abilities. We use the movement development concept within the understanding of the developmental process as it is presented by L. Vigotsky (1984), J. Piaget (1976), S. Rubinstein (1984), L. Bodzowitch (1968), I. Dubrowina, N. Tolstykh (1991).

We enrich this approach by the concepts on movement development by N. Bernstein (1947), F. Lesfaft (1989), N. Leontiev (1974). We also focus on other modern movement development (V. Vojta, 1989; Bobath, L. Sadowska, 2001; Feldenkries, 1998; P. Dennison, G. Dennison, 1989) and sensory-motor integration (J. Ayres, 1975) programs.

The Masgutova Method proposes procedures of:
A) Assessment and diagnosis of the reflex pattern for evaluation of their level of integration,
B) Facilitation of reflex pattern integration. Its goal is to address the specific features of the primary motor system and interlinks of its different aspects and levels.
